Island Wheelers signup for Ironman Ireland 70.3

A number of Island Wheelers have signed up to do Irelands first official M-Dot half Ironman to be hosted in Galway on Sunday 4th September 2011.

3 of the members – Alan McKeown, Robbie Silcock and John O’Hagan are new to the triathlon scene and hope to get a few shorter distance triathlons under the belt early next year but will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with! Our forth member Gareth Donnelly has done a few tri’s before and will be looking to better his half Ironman time.

Just got word a 5th Island Wheeler has joined in for the season finishing half Ironman in Galway – Claire Burns has registered and will be taking part – good on you Claire!
