Island Wheelers
Island Wheelers on a Sunday ride

Pleasure Team Notes (Saturday Morning Group)

Having had a very successful summer season the Pleasure Team are now well settled into their winter routine. Meeting at 10.30ish at the Cornmill we head out for a 30 – 35 mile circuit at a steady pace. Somewhere around the halfway mark there is a compulsory coffee stop which lasts about 20 minutes and allows for some serious banter.

Last week we welcomed back a few old hands ( John, Dywer & Gareth ) who we hadn’t seen in awhile. It was great to see them back and they weren’t long in settling back into the rhythm of the group. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Dywer a Happy Birthday which is on the 25th. ( He is now almost a Vet, but not quite! ).

The resurgence of cycling in Eglish continues unabated; Big Dermot a recent recruit to the Pleasure Team organised a group of his Eglish neighbours to join him on a cycle. Last Sunday despite the freezing fog he was joined by 7 friends on a 30 mile cycle. This was a great start and we wish them every success in the future.
