Conor Boyle and Sean McCann turn up the heat!

 

It was a busy weekend of racing for the Island Wheelers with riders competing in both the Cicli Grand Prix on the Saturday and the Carn Wheelers Classic on the Sunday.  But it was one of the Island Wheelers up and coming youth riders, Conor Boyle, who really stole the limelight over the weekend. Conor came home a fantastic 2^nd place in the Cicli Grand Prix under 14 race, the race was over 30km and over a testing course so a massive well done to Conor.  It’s great seeing the future of the club leaving their mark on the youth racing scene, Conor is going to one to watch in the future!

 

Sean McCann was a man on a mission over the weekend, claiming two commanding results in both the Cicli Grand Prix and Carn Wheelers Classic; finishing 6^th, and 3^rd place respectively.  Sean has been working extremely hard over the last number of months and it is being translated into some fantastic results!  His instinctive ability of getting into the right position at the right time is a gift that only the top riders have, and Seans consistency has finally been rewarded with gaining enough points to be promoted to the cat 3 ranks.  Lets hope Sean’s good run of form continues!
