Thursday 12th April

Ulster Team Time Trial Championships Training
7pm @ Tullygoonigan Industrial Estate – Moy Road

On May 8th 2012 the Ulster Team Time Trial Championships will be held at Woodgreen, and it would be great if the club could be represented by one or two teams.  If anyone is interested in riding this 25mile TTT could they please turn up for a little training session tomorrow night to practice riding a time trial in a group, meeting at 7.00pm along the Tullygoonigan Industrial Estate on the Moy Road (at the Blackwatertown turnoff).  The plan is to ride to Armagh for a warm up, then easy time trial to Dungannon, then pick up the pace on the way back to Armagh, and cool down on the way back to Tullygoonigan. We will have 3  nights of practice on Thursday 12th and 26th of April and 3rd of May .

ETCC 5 Mile TT
7pm – Omagh Road

For those who aren’t interested in competing in the TTT, the ETCC league starts back tomorrow with a 5 mile TT on the Omagh Road.  Sign on is at the Cookstown/Omagh District Council border, finish will be at The Bramble Inn.  Owing to safety concerns no Under 15’s are allowed to race on the Omagh Road awaiting the outcome of a meeting with the sport’s governing body at the end of this month.

Saturday 14th April

Red Hand Trophy

Ballymena Road Club are hosting the Red Hand Trophy this Saturday for A1-A3 riders.  This race was pre-entry and a few Wheelers are making the trip to Ballymena, good luck lads!  If you haven’t pre-entered and want to do the race give Hugh McCullough a ring to see if there are any places left on 0282582027.  The Race headquarters is the Michelin Club, Woodside Rd, Broughshane and is 105km. Sign-on will be from 10.00am with the riders due to roll out at 11.00am.

Sunday 15th April

Bann Valley Classic

This year there will be two separate races, an A2/A3 race, and an A4 race.  There is no pre-entry for these races, and it’s simply pay £12 on the day.  Sign on is 12 noon in Clady village hall with the race starting at 1pm.  This is a great wee race and promises some great racing, there’s a crowd of Wheelers going down to this one so make sure youre there!  Map of the course can be found here Bann Valley Classic Race Route
