This Thursday, 17th May, Square Wheels CC will be hosting a Cycling Ulster “Introduction to Racing” evening. The aim is to allow some of the province’s most experienced coaches and riders to give some instruction in racing/riding safely and race tactics to cyclists who have taken up the sport in the last few years. It will also provide an introduction to road racing to those who haven’t raced before but are thinking of giving it a go. It will also be useful to anyone taking part in sportives or other mass participation events this year. The event be held at Clonmore Hall at 6.15 pm and will start with a presentation and Q&A session followed by 4 lap ‘Mock Race’ at the nearby Argory Circuit. As it’s a non-competitive event all that’s required is a Cycling Ireland Leisure License. It would be nice to see a mix of newcomers who are willing to learn and experienced riders who are willing to teach. Depending on numbers the event may be split into several groups of different speeds.Cost: £3 per head to cover expenses.Directions to venue: http://g.co/maps/fc2g8 Argory circuit: http://g.co/maps/avnmdFor more information contact:squarewheelscc@gmail.comcolin.hughes1000@gmail.com
