With the unfortunate increase in incidents on the roads, it was reminded in our recent committee meeting about the importance of carrying some form of identification with you (including any medical information) on your person when cycling. This is important even if you are with the group but definitely when you are out on your own.
This is just a recommendation from the Club and not a requirement – but we are just sharing this info and giving you some ideas on how you safely carry ID on you.
The easiest and cheapest way obviously is to have an ID card on your person – something with a contact phone number in case of emergency and perhaps some medical info if you need that info shared with any emergency staff if an unfortunate incident would be to occur.
Another growing trend is to use one of the many new ID bracelets and bands that you can wear on your wrist or around your neck with all your info printed upon it.
For anyone interested in the pictured ID band from the ID Band Co (all info below) – they have given us a 10% off code for all our members to use (Sheena will email this out shortly to all members, or if you have not got it just drop her an email for it) This code can be used on their website to get 10% off your order.
