Wheelers dominate final round of Ulster XC series

Last weekend saw Apollo CT host the fifth and final round of the the Ulster XC MTB series at Craigavon Watersports Centre in what turned out to be a very successful day out for the Island Wheelers.  The ever growing mountain bike scene within the club saw both the youth, and senior riders turning up in force to take part in a very well run event.   In the senior 4 race, Raymond Rocks claimed another fantastic victory, and was joined on the podium by Sean Scullion who took 3rd ahead of Thomas Hepburn.

It wasn’t just the seniors riders who were filling the podium, but the youth riders too!  The Rafferty household are soon going to need a trophy room with all three finishing on the podium!! Aliyah finished 2nd in the Under 6 fun race, Adam was also second in the under 8  males race, and Darren won the under 10 males race.  It was also great to see Rhys, and Calum Hepburn, and Ciaran Scullions name on the results sheet!  Well done everyone!
