Ulster Cyclo-Cross Series Final Round

Carn Wheelers played host to the 8th and final round of the Ulster Cyclo-cross series, which also doubled up as the Ulster Cyclo-cross championships 2013, at Drum Manor Forest outside of Cookstown on Sunday. Great but demanding course and again the Island Wheelers played a blinder. Podiums galore See all listed below.

Big mention to Sean Scullion who came second in the cyclocross B race but really if all things were fair he really won it- as the winner was really a A1 rider and was in the category by default – so well done Sean fantastic. Thomas Hepburn and Kieran Gilligan shared 1st and 2nd on the mtb podium. As always the kids were impressive as usual- the club is proud of you all.

Cyclocross B: Sean Scullion 2nd (1st)

MTB Senior: Thomas Hepburn (1st) , Kieran Gilligan (2nd)

MTB Women: Janice Hepburn (3rd)

Under 10 boys: Darren Rafferty (1st)

Under 8 boys: Shane Scullion (1st), Adam Rafferty (2nd), Oisin Ferrity (3rd)

Under 6: Calum Hepburn (1st), Aliyah Rafferty (3rd)

In total there were 28 Island Wheelers riding on Sunday – Everywhere you looked another Island wheeler rode by !!!
