Thinking of doing a sportive in 2014?

Now that the New Year’s turkey has been digested thoughts turn to the bike in 2014, and for many Wheelers this will be deciding which sportives and leisure runs they will be targeting this year.  From the end of March there is a sportive running virtually every weekend, and many of these were taken on by the Wheelers in 2013.  These include the “Grand Tours” such as the Wicklow 200, Inishowen 100, Lap the Lough and Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive, and there’s also plenty of challenges closer to home, including the West Tyrone Sportive, Tour of the Sperrins, Killyman Sportif and Tour of South Derry.

Starting this weekend the club will be organising a run aimed at club members who are targetting one or more sportives in 2014.  If you already have set goals, or are undecided and want to take on a sportive in 2014, come along to the Cornmill at 10am on Sunday morning.  Route and distance will be decided on the day.
