XMTB McConvey Cycles Spring League Review

This league was run over the last 3 Sundays in Ormeau Park Belfast .Following the recent bad weather conditions were very tough with mud being a big factor in each race, this along with an ever changing course made for tough and exciting racing. Sunday the 9th is the first round of Ulster MTB race season and it looks good for the island Wheelers again in 2014.

See the overall results accumulated over the 3 events, we are strongly represented with new faces eg Gordan and Scott Roberts 1st and 4th in their sections, Conor and James 2nd and 3rd in the under 16s (unfortunately there wasn’t a special lake section for them to dive into or they would have been 1st and 2nd)Darren and Aligah Rafferty all in the top spots.

As usual all the kids are stealing the show again and congratulations to you all and don’t forget all the adult riders who are taking their family’s there and then riding themselves, a great credit to you all and thanks from all your fellow club members.
