It was fine summers evening for Stage 2 of the ICL 3 Day at the Annaghmore Circuit. With the race handicaped into 3 groups, everyone had a real chance to get a result. It was the second group on the road that sought to use this handicap, as well as their strength in numbers, to their advantage. They worked hard to try and keep the chasing protagonists behind. However, their efforts were in vain and the race came together on the final lap, ending in an inevitable sprint finish which Micky Murray won, retaining his yellow jersey. Four Wheelers managed to make top 10.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with the marshalling tonight.
Tomorrow night see’s the final stage take place on the Derrymacesh Circuit, sign on is at 19.00. This race will be a mass start (no handicap). However there will be points for the first 15 with triple points for those placed from group 3, and double points for those placed from group 2.
