Wheelers on form at Round 5 of the XC league

Another great weekend for the Island Wheelers on the MTB stage! Round 5 of the XC league took place on Sunday the 12th at Garvagh, an excellent course set up by Carn Wheelers and it seems to have suited our squad.

Paul Daly had an excellent 3rd place, which means he is the first Island Wheeler to stand on a MTB podium and represent the club, so well done Paul and hope to see you up a few steps soon. Barry Kirkland had another excellent 7th place and Cathal Mc Guigan a super 10th, these positions are in the senior 4 cat with 40 starters, so really good results for the club. Conor Boyle  did really well in the youth section and at one stage was second but took a wrong turn on the course and missed out on a podium this time (need to get you a garmin Conor!!)

We will be starting back at the MTB evening in the next few weeks contact Aidan if you want to join in, all levels welcome.

Well done all, this MTB,s  taking off

Well done Paul!
