The first round of the 2011 Mid Ulster Inter Club League kicked off tonight with a 7 mile individual Time Trial along the Charlestown Road. 37 riders took part in the race, 16 of which were Wheelers, a notable representation and a big well done to all the Wheelers who took part.
It was Mickey Murray & John Heverin of Clann Éireann who ended up sharing top spot. Both riders clocked an impressive time of 15.55 and once again, these pair are looking like the men to beat this season. Richard Davidson and Gerry McVeigh, however, came home in 3rd and 5th place respectfully, and are continually getting stronger. This undoubtedly is going to turn into a great battle for the top spot come the end of the season!
