On Saturday 24th August 2012 Celtic Charity Fund launched its 1254125 fundraising initiative. It is asking every Celtic supporter across the globe to raise £125 in the Club’s 125th Anniversary Year to improve the lives of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Island Wheeler Jim Kelly along with a group of supporters have taken the 1254125 pledge and will cycle 220 miles from Brother Walfrid’s birth place in Ballymote, Co. Sligo to Celtic Park.
Jim will proudly be wearing his Island Wheelers kit throughout the ride.
The cycle will commence on Thursday 8th November and arrive at Celtic Park in time for the home game against St. Johnstone on Sunday 11th November.
If its possible Jim is kindly asking you to support him with a donation, no matter how big or small. Your contribution will be greatly accepted and invaluable.
P.S. When you make a donation, don’t forget to check the Gift Aid box if you’re a UK taxpayer as then your charity can claim an extra 25% from the government! Link for donations is www.everyclick.com/1254125jimcycle
